Our Services

At Lachlan Valley Psychology & Wellbeing, we offer support for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Every service is tailored to the needs of the individual or family, grounded in compassion, and informed by best practice.

What we do

  • Life comes with seasons — some joyful, some deeply challenging. Whether you’re facing a transition, feeling stuck, or working through something painful, therapy can offer space to pause, reflect, and move forward with support.

  • It’s incredibly hard to see your child struggle — especially when their behaviour seems confusing or out of character. Children often express themselves through behaviour long before they have the words to explain what’s going on inside. If your child seems overwhelmed, emotional, withdrawn, or you're just not sure what’s behind the changes you’re seeing — you’re not alone.

  • Teenagers are growing fast — not just physically, but emotionally and socially too. They’re reaching for independence, figuring out who they are, and often riding a wave of intense feelings along the way. We’re here to provide a space to explore any difficulties and issues, and support to navigate them.

  • We offer trauma-informed therapy using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Resource Therapy to help people process difficult experiences in a way that feels safe, supported, and empowering.

These approaches work with the brain and nervous system to reduce distress, strengthen inner resources, and support lasting change. Whether the trauma was recent or occurred long ago, therapy can help you move forward with greater ease.

  • We provide a range of psychological assessments, including:

    • Autism Assessments (ADOS & ADI-R)

    • Cognitive (IQ) Assessments

    • Adaptive Functioning Assessments

    • Learning and Behavioural Assessments

Assessments are conducted with care, clarity, and a neuroaffirming approach to ensure the process is meaningful, respectful and genuinely helpful. Assessments can help provide understanding, guide intervention, and assist with accessing supports.

  • We believe strong, connected relationships are at the heart of wellbeing — especially between children and their caregivers.

    We currently offer:

    • Circle of Security Parenting™ Program
A supportive, relationship-focused program that helps parents and caregivers better understand their child’s emotional needs, strengthen connection, and build secure relationships.

We’re also available to deliver tailored workshops for schools, community groups, and organisations. More group offerings will be added over time — stay tuned, or get in touch if you’d like to collaborate on something specific.

How we do it

We believe that meaningful change starts with feeling seen, heard, and understood.

Our work is:

  • Individualised – We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We tailor our approach to each person, drawing on a range of evidence-based methods to meet your unique needs.

  • Person-centred – We collaborate with you to explore what’s important, set goals together, and move at a pace that feels right.

  • Neuroaffirming – We recognise and value neurodiversity, working to support self-understanding, reduce stress, and honour each person’s experience.

Our therapeutic tools may include:

  • EMDR Therapy

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Play Therapy

  • Resource Therapy

  • Elements of DBT and other creative, relational approaches

Whether we’re working with a child, teen, adult or parent, we bring a calm presence, curiosity, and care — so you can feel supported every step of the way.
