We believe that meaningful change starts with feeling seen, heard, and understood.
At Lachlan Valley Psychology & Wellbeing, we offer support for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Every service is tailored to the needs of the individual or family, grounded in compassion, and informed by best practice.
Our work is:
Individualised – We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We tailor our approach to each person, drawing on a range of evidence-based methods to meet your unique needs.
Person-centred – We collaborate with you to explore what’s important, set goals together, and move at a pace that feels right.
Neuroaffirming – We recognise and value neurodiversity, working to support self-understanding, reduce stress, and honour each person’s experience.
Hi, I’m Clara, a Registered Psychologist and EMDR clinician based in Forbes, NSW. I bring a calm, compassionate presence to my work and love helping people feel more connected, supported, and empowered.
I work with kids, parents, and individuals across the lifespan. I’m particularly passionate about supporting children to understand and manage big feelings and to build the skills they need for lifelong mental wellbeing. I also have a background supporting children with autism and developmental differences.
A bit about me.
I love working alongside parents and caregivers - helping them feel more confident and supported in their roles and more connected in their relationships with their kids and with each other. On my journey to becoming a mum, I have developed a special interest in the transition into motherhood (known as matrescence) and in supporting mothers during the preconception, pregnancy and postnatal periods. I support people with processing trauma and adverse experiences, always working at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.
I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I draw on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) Therapy, Resource Therapy & ‘Parts Work’, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) and Play Therapy, tailoring the process to each client and their goals.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy time with my family, getting my hands dirty in the garden, going on adventures, and creating something with my hands - whether that’s baking, a treehouse or pottery.
